If you’re wondering about alternative vehicles, fuel alternatives, or all electric car models, then this is the site for you.  Our focus here is on the overall market, emerging technologies, and how these things will realistically go from the novelty of today to the transportation norm of tomorrow.

While many websites focus on individual aspects of the alternative vehicles market, this website aims to draw together a whole picture of transportation as a whole.  This includes how new technology will affect vehicles, how alternative science will change cars, and how near-term solutions like diesel electric hybrid trucks will impact the overall transportation world.

Of course, dreamy ideas of mass transit and urban share systems will be mentioned, but it’s a core understanding of things here at About Alternative Cars that personal transportation (cars, trucks, etc.) is not likely to go away in the foreseeable future.  Our focus is on a future market that looks much like today’s in terms of personal vehicle ownership and use.  It’s the vehicles that will change, not so much the personal freedom associated with having your own versus being without.
