About Alternative Cars was created by journalist and author Aaron Turpen who covers alternative vehicles, EV cars, electric car companies, and diesel electric hybrids and vehicles.  Things happen in the industry that aren’t well-covered by some outlets or that are too specific (or not specific enough) to fit the niche of the websites for which Aaron writes.

Some sites focus on electric cars only, some focus only on mainstream vehicles, others focus only on certain types of alternative cars or fuels.  Few focus on everything related to alternative vehicles.  So About Alternative Cars plans to do that: to cover everything about the alternatives available in transportation.

The focus here is not on the latest and greatest news from individual electric car manufacturers or fuel alternatives, though that will be included.  The focus here is on explaining those technologies and how the current market and related tech are working together towards the future of transportation.

So here at About Alternative Cars, the focus is on emerging technologies and how these are integrating (or will likely integrate) with current tech already on the market.  The electric car of today may not look or operate the same way as the EV cars of 2020 or 2025.  For instance, an all electric car could see changes in how motors, batteries, control systems, and more operate.
